|Wednesday 1st - Friday 3rd June 2005 - New York New York|
Even though my world trip is long over by now here are the last still missing reports.|
After a long car ride with a stopover in Philadelphia, we already reached New York last night. Although New York is gigantic, navigation within the city wasn’t difficult at all, since I wasn’t the navigator. Otherwise, we might have driven somewhere else. Another one way street here and another one there, and then we reached our designer hotel Gershwin in the middle of New York only a couple blocks away from the Empire State Building…
Most of the time we explored New York by foot and shortly after our arrival we walked to the Empire State Building and the Time Square. Of ccourse, there is loads of tourist companies, which make Sight Seeing in New York easy. We decided to use the original double decker busses.
Our desinger hotel. Even inside everything was over-colored.
Wallstreet - with American flair.
The Bull - a symbol for success especially at the stock exchange.
The wallstreet must be guarded - with machine guns and dogs.
Nine Eleven monuments
United Nations Building
Trump Tower - Trump owns several of these buildings.
The Empire State Building
View from the Empire State Building. That really reminded me to SimCity.
I think this is Ellis Island, where US immigrations originally had its first seat.
New York Central Park
The Guggenheim Museum
New York Times Square
Broadway - Unfortunately, we didn't make it to a musical.
Nice car park.
Sorry, I forgot the name of this bridge...
The Intrepid - today a tourist attraction. We saw one of these babies trying to sneak out the harbour. Crazy - a swimming city itself.
Everybody knows her - the Statue of Liberty
How to surprise Americans - have four of these glasses and be still able to walk out the pub.
