|Friday 10th - Sunday 12th June 2005 - Grand Prix de Montreal etc.|
Montreal, here we are. After the exhausting kayaking tour in the Adirondack Park, we started heading north towards Montreal. Crossing the border we had problems with our passports and had to go back to immigrations. The guy at the border forgot to take the US entry slips out of our passports. One hour later we finally reached Montreal. Getting there it was already visible that the upcoming Grand Prix this weekend had fully taken over the city. No parking spots available close to our flatů
Shortly after our arrival in Montreal and a one night's rest, we started exploring the city - by bus, train, and of course foot. We walked more than one kilometer.|
A view of Montreal from Mount Royal. We had more than 30 degrees Celcius this day, when we decided to climb up there.
Biodome de Montreal
Notre Dame de Montreal
After so much walking, a little rest is always good. Modern art turned into a simple couch.
A knight's play.
Cirque du Soleil.
Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to take picutres during the show. The show was very interesting and colorful. However, we weren't able to understand all of it, because the entire show was completely in French.
During the entire week and during the weekend of the grand prix there were parties all over the city.
Looks like a Ferrari, doesn't it?
The race course is around the casino.
